RHUDE × Instant Brands · Restaurant takeover, Santa Monica · 2021
Role: Project Lead · Delivered with Grafico
"Late Summer: Made for Together" Collaboration Dinner
To celebrate luxury fashion label RHUDE's collaboration with Instant Brands, the company behind Instant Pot, Pyrex, and Chicago Cutlery, we turned a working Santa Monica restaurant into a fully custom RHUDE dinner venue.
The build
Walls: custom tile-pattern wallpaper with the RHUDE logo woven into the design
Wine room: branded diamond panels for each product line, set right into the restaurant's existing wine racks
Product display: a custom lattice display wall echoing the wine rack geometry, designed in CAD and built to fit the space exactly
Gallery: framed photography of the founder and his team
Tables: custom-printed tablecloths
Entrance: a branded neon sign on a hedge wall, a gold carpet runner, and string lights
Packaging: custom bandana-print boxes, die-cut and assembled in-house
The challenge
Every element was a one-off, with no off-the-shelf pieces and no second chances, and the entire transformation had to happen in one day and one evening. I measured the space myself so every panel, shelf, and display would fit the first time. I turned the client's brand assets into production-ready designs, modeled everything in CAD for approval, and installed it all inside an operating restaurant.
The result
A complete brand takeover delivered in a single day, ready for an evening of founders, partners, and guests.
